Maria Narayani Lasala-Blanco

I am an assistant professor at the political science department at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

My research focuses on the development of political attitudes among immigrant and minority populations in liberal democracies.

I use survey research, panel studies, multilevel models and, spatial data analysis to identify conditions under which immigrants and minority groups are more likely to develop attitudes and behaviors associated with political engagement.
